SUMMER MURAL PROJECT

Building on the tradition of murals in Berthoud and a desire to offer local students an opportunity to work side by side with a professional artist to install a new public art piece for the community, Wildfire Community Arts Center announces the Summer Mural Project.

Wildfire arts center is looking for 10-12 motivated high school students to be apprentice muralists. The team will be under the leadership of Anita Yeh Norrie, a Berthoud resident, who is a professional artist. Yeh will design the image for the mural for the east wall of the art center, a 40 by 15 foot area just west of the intersection of 4th street and Massachusetts. Her student art team will then learn how both to enlarge the image to fit the actual wall, and apply the paint to create it.
